It is quite similar to the old model and is built from plastic. However, you are going to find the black color even more appealing, while the overall look is nice and stealthy. Other improvements or additions might not be too obvious at the first look but then there are many, if you probe further.
The foam around the glasses is rigid and sits quite properly while you are wandering into the VR world. Even the head strap has undergone changes so as to enhance the comfort level. The product was always functional; however, the improvements have made it even better.
